On the 26 February, 2016, two of my daughters Izzy (19) and Beth (24) died in an apparent accident, whilst backpacking in Southeast Asia, along with a fellow British traveller, Christian.

This blog is a way for me to capture and record my reactions to and reflections on losing Izzy & Beth.

It’s part therapy (I was told and I believe, writing is a good way to deal with trauma) and part documentary – a place to store the mundane, somewhere to keep safe all the little things I never ever want to forget, no matter how painful they are to recall and recount.

‘Before and After’ is also about me trying to find ways to redesign my life and to learn to live with the ‘After’.
